EN 10025-2 Grade S275J2 normalized or normalized formed (+N)

"EN 10025-2 Grade S275J2 normalized or normalized formed (+N)" is a specification for structural steel. It indicates the grade, processing condition, and compliance with standards for the steel.


"EN 10025-2": This refers to the steel's compliance with the European standard EN 10025-2, which specifies technical delivery conditions for non-alloy structural steels.
"Grade S275J2": It indicates that the steel grade is S275J2, which is a low carbon, high-strength structural steel grade.
"Normalized" or "Normalized formed (+N)": This signifies that the steel has undergone normalization treatment, which involves heating the material above its critical temperature and then cooling it in still air to improve its mechanical properties.

"EN 10025-2 Grade S275J2 normalized or normalized formed (+N)" refers to structural steel that complies with the European standard EN 10025-2, has a grade of S275J2, and has been subjected to either normalization or normalized forming to enhance its mechanical properties.


The hot rolled, unalloyed quality steel S275J2 is a fine grained steel for welding constructions for dynamic loading.
The steel is not intended for heat treatment. Stress relieving annealing is allowed. Products in the delivery condition +N may be hot formed and/or normalized after delivery.
For long products and continuous rolled flats the delivery condition is up to the producer +AR, +N or +M. The delivery condition of four-high rolled sheet is also up to the producer and may be +AR or +N. Both conditions can be ordered.
For this steel are available (mat. no 1.0142, S275J2C) grades for folding, roll forming to shape and cold drawing.
The steel grade S275J2 (1.0145) replaces the steel grade S275J2G3 (1.0144) according to EN 10025 (1994-03).
